Thursday 4th October

 

There is a completely new type of race. Knock-Out sprint was invented as a third sprint model and will be presented at World Championship 2020 in Norway. According to the schedule, there will be a qualification and quatrofinals at Olymp on Thursday in the morning. In the afternoon, the semifinals and the final round will be held in the area of Výstaviště Holešovice.

 

For spectators there is a special labyrinth in the morning. You can test your orienteering skills in such an unusual way!

In the afternoon the Live Orienteering will be broadcasted.

How to get there?

Olymp – morning

Options:

  • Public transport - take the bus number 131, get off at Goethe stop, 400 metres walking distance

  • Possible also by own cars – parking is right next to the arena (marked on a map above). Please respect the organizers there!

Výstaviště Holešovice - afternoon

Options:

  • On foot - walkable distance – enjoy the beautiful walk through the park Stromovka.

  • Public transport – use trams number 6, 17, 12, 5, 30, 25, get off at the Výstaviště Holešovice station

  • Cars – enough parking places nearby

  • Rekolo – you can rent a bike, all you need to do is to download the app and find your bike. It is a bike sharing systém common here in Prague. Mind the first 15 minutes are free of charge. Recommended by Jan Flašar.

Friday 5th October

Sprint relay will be held in the location of picturesque „Czech-Eiffel-Tower“ Petřín.

 

How to get there?

Options:

- Public transport – use the app called Idos and find the appropriate tram or the bus

- Car – It is impossible to get right there, there is a possibility to park your cars in front of the Strahov dormitory.

Saturday 6th October

On Saturday the only race in real forest enviroment is expected. The race is located in the area of Český Ráj – Valdštejn Castle. The terrain will be technically difficult, full of rocks and hills.

 

How to get there?

  • Car – the parking area will be about 1600 metres far from the event. Centre

Sunday 7th October

The final race of the World Cup 2018 is situated to Mladá Boleslav. The event centre will be set at the main square called Staroměstské náměstí, for more details please check the link below.
